MARWAN

Born 1934 in Damascus - lives in Berlin.

The artist studied arabic literature in Damascus and painting in Berlin in the class of Hann Trier. Winner of the Karl-Hofer award. Marwan was professor of painting at the HDK in Berlin from 1980 until 2003, member of the Akademie der Künste Berlin-Brandenburg as well as member of the jury for the Fred Thieler Award. Numerous exhibitions in Aman, Beirut, Damascus, New York, Paris and German museums.

His works are owned by renowned national and international museums and private collections worldwide.
